Miss Sunshine

It is true I need more time. I do many things and sometimes I wonder if I do anything well. However, let us not philosophize and let us go to write.
Although I saw the film "Miss Sunshine" a few months ago, I enjoyed it a lot and I would like to write a little comment about it.
In my opinion, the film is like a tragicomedy. Although all the characters in the film have different points of view about life and have communication problems, there is love between them.
In the film there are two very touching moments for me. The first one is when the father breaks down and the grandfather offers him his help. The other one is when all the family is applauding while the girl is dancing.

my diary

I woke up at 7,30, as every day, but I didn't get up until 8. I like to be in bed on Sundays and Saturdays. I enjoy this time thinking about the things, which I will do during the day.
After having a peaceful breakfast, I had a shower and got dressed then I was ready to go to Molins de Rei, with my husband. We went there so in those days they celebrated one of the most famous flowers and plants markets. We spent all the morning walking slowly along the stalls. We bought several plants.
At 2,30 we went to the restaurant to having lunch, after a delicious meal we droved to Barcelona for shopping, later as I felt like watching a movie entitled "The little miss Sunshine" in V.O., we went to Renoir cinemas, we enjoyed it a lot, it's very funny and easy to understand.
Finally, we came back home.

the historian

I have just finished reading a book and I would like to write about it. Curiously, this book has two titles, depending on its translation. The original title in English is "The historian" which does not specify the gender of the historian.
In Catalan the translator chose the masculine form and wrote it as "L'historiador", but in Spanish, the translator chose the feminine form "La historiadora". In my opinion the best choice is the Catalan, because the plot is about a daughter who tells her father story and he was an historian. The plot is about Dracula, too. The action takes place during the Cold War. Even though I know Dracula is a legend, after reading the book I am not so sure about it.
It is the first book by Elizabeth Kosova and it took her ten years of research to write it, and when the book was published it won a prize.
The book describes several countries including Bulgary, Hungary and cities like Istambul and Budapest in a way that makes you feel as if you were there.
I recommende this book to you, it was a long time since I had read a book so interesting and different.

mini-saga

I had always thought that my mother in law, who lived with us, hated me. So it was a surprise when on my birthday she gave me a bird as a present. I like birds very much. But I undestood it when I knew that she had bought a cat.

stereotypes

About the Catalans, everybody thinks that we are mean and we spend all the day working and we never laugh. People think we are efficient, disciplined and self-confident, even arrogant. They say that we look down on other nationalities and we want to be independent.
Certainly, we are hard-working, efficient and serious, but we also like meeting friends at the weekends and we have an ironic sense of humour, in fact, there are quite comedians who are Catalans.
Although we like saving, it does not that we are stingy, so we like travelling a lot and living confortably. It is not true that we look down on other nationalities, in Catalonia there are more people from other countries than Catalans and this is not a problem.
Personally I think we are very touchy about our language and culture, and a bit, only a bit, arrogant. However, we are sensitive and we are very good at business.
Finally, I have to say that I do not believe in setereotypes, so there are many factors that can influence on people's personality.
